ept - this successful family-owned company from the Bavarian region of Germany develops and produces electronic connectors for the worldwide market. ept products are used in particular in the telecom/datacom, motor-vehicle electronics and industrial control systems areas.
The ept success story began in 1967 in Buching, where stampings were produced. This was followed by a move to new headquarters in Peiting, Upper Bavaria, the opening of a company sales office in the USA, a production plant in the Czech Republic and production facilities in China and in Augsburg (Germany). Today, the company’s development work is concentrated in Peiting. With a workforce of more than 700 at its sales and production locations in Germany, the Czech Republic, China and the USA, and a worldwide sales network, ept offers its customers a service covering every aspect of electronic connection technology.
ept – precision electronic technology
The name ept stands worldwide for quality and innovation in the development and production of electronic connectors. ept is a leader in press-fit technology, but does not concentrate solely on connector production. It also supplies the necessary tools and press-fit machinery for the processing of press-fit connectors on printed circuit boards.
ept stands for product quality, but its standards of after-sales service are equally high. The corporate mission is to ensure customer satisfaction by means of innovative product ideas and superior production techniques. The emphasis is on versatility, speed, customer orientation and exceptionally high quality. The staff at ept responds in all cases actively to customers’ needs.
ept is certified according to ISO 9001:2000. Locations where components for automotive applications are produced are also certified according to ISO/TS 16949:2002. Our quality management system is up to par ISO 9001:2000-12.
In order to protect our environment, we do not waste natural resources and to ensure this, we comply with the stipulations of DIN EN ISO 14001:2004 and introduced an environmental management system.
